From my work in progress –

Turning points in history:

A] Wars were led by their instigators.
These ended with Napoleon III in Zola’s ‘Débacle.’
Wars were led by the political non-belligerent class.
These have led to death in the millions – World Wars 1 and 2
Then continuous wars since.

B] Government was led by owners of wealth
Government was led by employed, political class paid by wealthy.

C] Power was held by the states
Power was held by the corporations.
Hobbes defined the corporation as a cancer module on the parent body – the state.
When the wealth becomes located in Corporations
The Corporations transform into states.
The states disintegrate into local entities.

In ‘De L’Esprit des Lois’: Montesquieu

(Livre 11, Ch.4)
